Powerwolf
No other Metal band has achieved similar sucess in the last years: With „Blood Of The Saints“ Powerwolf entered the German album charts for about 3 weeks, they even rose up to position 23! The German Metal Hammer elected the band „ascenders of the year“ and their album „Power Metal album of the year“. The first Wolfsnächte-Tour (English: Night of the wolves), where Powerwolf as the headlining band stuffed the big locations, proved to be a triumphant success. The same goes for the numerous festival appearances. We can therefore expect true magnificence by the Wolves in 2013 as the band always suceeded in surpassing themselves.
On July 19th, „Preachers Of The Night“ will be released via Napalm Records: a truly catchy and intense album – furious, epic, heavy und wolfish up to the max! On their fifth release Powerwolf stay true to themselves and their unique style, but they also changed some details to surprise their fans: Therefore „Preachers Of The Night“ sounds more bombastic, sacral and atmospheric than the last album, which was a little more straight forward. Powerwolf have again created an album that goes directly in your ears with its easy-to-grasp hooklines and catchy refrains, but you also won't be fed up with it after numerous listens.
As early as with their debut „Return In Bloodred“ (2005) und the follow-up „Lupus Dei“ the band achieved much more than just some attention. In 2009 „Bible Of The Beast“ demonstrated that the band had finally defined their unique sound and style: the inclusion of organ tunes as well as opulent choirs and Attila Dorn's vocals benefitted a distinctive band sound. Not to forget the wolfish sense for great Metal hymns that the musicians further refined on „Blood Of The Saints“. Speaking of „wolfish“: Their musical style is not the only aspect that makes Powerwolf truly unique. Since the beginning the band presented a strong contentual and visual concept that perfectly enframed their music. This includes the lyrics, which are spiked with puns, continues with the strikingly designed artworks und won't end with their lavish and opulently equipped stageshows, which also include fitting requisites and the somber look of all band members.#
Powerwolf do not only impress on CD but also on stage where they prove to be true masters of entertainment who will celebrate a great Metal party with their fans at every gig. Powerwolf do not only rely on their fantastic songs, they also detain a Metal mass und playfully include religious/spiritual elements. The lightshow and the set decoration in sacral designs provide for the proper solemn atmosphere. And the band will surely not let their followers make their way home without being sanctified by front-priest Attila. Powerwolf just combine all aspects to a thrilling event that will give you goosebumps and earned the band the reputation as one of the best live acts out there. Live on stage, the Wolf will get everyone on their side! The band has already proven this on all big German and European festivals such as Wacken, Summer Breeze, Graspop, Metalcamp, Bloodstock, Metalfest, and on their headlining tour in Russia.
This story of success will now be updated with „Preachers Of The Night“. This album, their fifth, was produced in Studio Fredman (Hammerfall, In Flames et al.); Svante Forsbäck of Chartmakers (Rammstein, Volbeat et al.) did the mastering. Several magazines will dedicate their cover stories to the Wolves (among others: Musix, Rock It, Rock City News, Hardline). Powerwolf are also already booked for Festivals such as Wacken, Summer Breeze, Metal Days, Masters Of Rock and numerous others. In autumn they will hit the roads for the next Wolfsnächte tour, where the band will show their most elaborate and greatest performance so far. Hallelujah!
